Request for new FAQ section: Common Problems
I think that this Docs section of the website should include a basic overview of common errors and problems and ways to correct them.  I say this for two reasons:

1) I'm sure that many new users of SMF are fairly inexperienced in dealing with errors and problems that arise in the installation and running of one of these forums. This Docs section is listed on the Simple Machines Support page as the first place to go for help, so I think it should at provide at least a basic ground from which further inquiries can be (by going through the support forum) made if the problem is more advanced.

2) While users could look through the support forum for answers, the forum often makes it hard to quickly find a step-by-step method without having to sift through tens or hundreds of posts and piece the information together.

For me, I had to search through hundreds of posts concerning server problems, poor hosting, MySQL jargon, and more just to figure out that the reason my forum ran so slowly was because "Disable hostname lookups" was defaulted to on.

I realize that the support forums provide, by their nature, more advanced and user-specific solutions, but I feel that this FAQ should address at least the more common problems.

Thanks,

Where would I find this information if  that is why my forum is so slow?
